Getting to Sorrento

Sorrento is just 90 minutes from Melbourne CBD, located at the southern tip of the Mornington Peninsula. Positioned between the pristine bay beach and the rugged ocean beach, Sorrento offers the perfect balance of accessibility and peaceful seclusion, making it an ideal day trip destination.

Sorrento is easily accessible by car, with new freeways and tollways making the journey even smoother. From Melbourne CBD:

From there, enjoy a scenic drive along Point Nepean Rd all the way to Sorrento, or use Melbourne Rd from Rye to avoid heavier traffic.

The 788 Bus runs from Frankston to Portsea every 45 minutes on weekdays, taking approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes. On weekends, buses operate every 1 hour and 15 minutes from Portsea to Frankston.
